EMM:Re-sync fails with error 'Index (zero based) must be greater than or equal to zero'

Problem:

When attempting to re-sync the user in EMM>users>re-sync now, you receive below error

"Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Index (zero based) must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument list."

Cause:

EMM allows you to have all users in one Security Policy Group (i.e. High, Medium or Low) however, there is currently an issue in which all users cannot be in one group as this causes the re-sync to fail. So for example, if all users are part of the High Security Policy Group, you are most likely to receive this error during a re-sync process.

This issue has been documented and the article will be updated once a fix has been released.

Workaround:

You will need to do the following:

  1. Drop the customer/organization that was created during the EMM onboarding process from system>manage.(Please test without trying this step first as we understand this may not be a convenient step for most customers)

  2. Create a new customer/organization

  3. Create one at least “dummy” user within each of the Security Policy Groups (High/Medium/Low)

  4. Attempt the resync again by clicking the Re-sync Now button.

  5. The dummy users in each of the Policy Groups may receive an invite, but they can ignore that invite

This should complete the re-sync process. Please contact kaseya support if this still results in error message for you.

Update

A fix for this issue has been released. Please make sure you have latest R9 patch installed. The fix has been included in 9.0.0.10
