Views Not Loading in Policy Management

Problem

When trying to create new Policies in Policy Management, the list of views fail to appear:

Cause

The views in policy management are loaded by a particular stored procedure and the stored procedure may not have been created so the module is unable to call the list of views.

 

Solution 

For Single Server:

1. On your server, navigate to $:\Kaseya\DBInstall\Policy\storedprocedure\policy.getPolicyViewsForAdmin.sql

2. Open the file using SQL Management Studio and Execute to run the procedure.

3. Log out of the VSA and back in and you should be able to load the views.

 

For Split Server:

1. On your front-end database, navigate to $:\Kaseya\DBInstall\Policy\storedprocedure\policy.getPolicyViewsForAdmin.sql

2.  Open the file in Notepad and copy the contents.

3. On the back-end database, open SQL Management Studio and paste the contents from policy.getPolicyViewsForAdmin.sql

4. Execute to run the procedure.

5. Log out of the VSA and back in and you should be able to load the views.
