BullPhish ID Integration with Passly

Introduction

This guide is designed for users who want to enable BullPhish ID integration with Passly. Passly will provide a robust Azure & Physical Active Directory integration for other modules as a user store. Users with the roles of MSP, MME, and Privileged SMB can import end users' targets and groups for your existing Passly customer accounts into BullPhish ID.

It helps save time when onboarding existing Passly customers to BullPhish ID.

When BullPhish ID and Passly Active Directory are successfully integrated, users can easily upload groups targets into BullPhish ID and send Phishing and Training campaigns to customers.

Prerequisites

  • You must have access to both BullPhish ID and Passly accounts.
  • Only partner admins can configure the integration.

Enabling Integration

To enable BullPhish ID integration with Passly, follow the below steps:

1. Go to your Passly account. Fill in the credentials and click Log in

Authenticating on BullPhish ID

Once you have copied the ID and the Key, follow these steps on BullPhish ID:

1. Log into the BullPhish ID account.

2. BullPhish ID supports synchronization with Passly, Google Admin, and Azure Active directories through the Directories page. To integrate the Passly directory sync with BullPhish ID, navigate to the left-side menu and select Targets & Groups > Directories

You will be redirected to the Directories page. Here you will see a list of organizations that have a directory sync.

3. Click the + Add Directory Sync button to create a sync between your associated organization and a Passly director.

4. A modal window will appear on the screen. Select an Organization and Directory Type. Select Passly Active Directory from the list of active directories and provide all the mandatory fields.

Once an organization and directory type is selected, other fields will appear depending on the directory chosen. For example, if users want to create a directory sync for Passly, they first need to select their associated organization and then select Passly under Directory Type.

Before a new directory sync can be added, users must know the active directory information they will use and the necessary credentials. To sync with the Passly directory, you must obtain the following:

  • Domain: Provide the specific domain name of all users. Only users with the provided domain name will be imported during synchronization for groups.
    • To view the user domain details, log into Passly and click Directory Manager > Users.
    • Domain example: TestUser@Domain.com the Domain.com would be the domain used for the Directory Sync

Important: Please note one organization will have one domain.

  • ID: Enter the ID that you have copied from the Passly portal.
  • Key: Enter the Key that you have copied from Passly. This secret key is needed to authenticate with BullPhish ID.

To add multiple organizations to BullPhish ID from Passly, return to your Passly integration page and select the dropdown button on the top right of the page.

Once the dropdown is selected, you will see a list of organizations linked to your Passly account. Select the organization you would like to integrate. A Unique ID and Key will be shown for the organization; proceed to recreate step 3 to add multiple organizations to BullPhish ID

Note: Only one Organization at a time can be synced from Passly to BullPhish ID

5. Once the correct credentials have been added, the following two options are available for you:

Save Directory: If you choose the Save Directory option, you save the directory but do not create any synced group. You will get redirected to the Directories page to add more active directories to the organizations.

Save & Sync: If you choose the Save & Sync option, you save the directory and will get redirected to the move to Edit Directory page. From here, you can create synced groups.

After successfully syncing with Passly Active Directory, you can import the end user's targets and groups for your existing Passly customer accounts into BullPhish ID. This will configure Passly directories and grant permissions to sync with BullPhish ID.

6. If synced correctly, users will be taken to the organization's edit directory page, where they can select a group and target to be imported from the Passly Active Directory.

To learn more about syncing groups, visit the Directories user guide.

  • To remove an active directory sync, go to the edit directory page and click the Directory Settings button.
